RIU Palace Costa Rica Hotel Opens
On November 2, RIU Hotels & Resorts opened, as scheduled, its second hotel in Costa Rica and the first of the Riu Palace luxury range: the Riu Palace Costa Rica.
The resort is situated in the region of Guanacaste, which is famous for its natural beauty, and is located adjacent to the Riu Guanacaste hotel, which opened in fall 2009. The Riu Palace Costa Rica extends and complements the range of hotels that RIU has to offer in the Central American destination with its luxury services and facilities.
Luis Riu, CEO of RIU Hotels & Resorts, travelled to Costa Rica to personally supervise the preparation of the resort's final details and the opening itself. “Being able to open this new hotel fills us with pride," Riu said. "Costa Rica is a magnificent country and its tourism industry is an international example of good practises. I believe our clients will value this new luxury offering in the destination and that it will also bring a new energy to the travel industry in Guanacaste."
Situated on the seafront, the Riu Palace Costa Rica offers 538 rooms with free Wi-Fi Internet and 24 hour room service. Its range of high quality cuisine consists of five restaurants: the 'Arenal', which offers a buffet of international cuisine with dishes cooked to order, and four restaurants with à la carte specialities: the Japanese 'Tokio', the Italian 'L'Anfora', the 'Papagayo' Grill-Steakhouse and the modern 'Krystal' restaurant. Guests can also choose from five bars, including the new 'Lounge 24' bar, to sample RIU's vast menu of cocktails as well as national and international drinks, not to mention coffees and fine pastries in the 'Capuchino' patisserie.
The luxurious 5 star resort boasts four pools, one of which has a swim-up bar and a children's pool, as well as a miniclub for kids and entertainment programmes operating day and night. The resort also includes the street 'El Poblado' where guests find boutiques, a kiosk, souvenirs and photographic shop, as well as a fully equipped Renova Spa where guests can enjoy free use of the gym, sauna and jacuzzi. On the same street, you find the casino, the 'Pacha' nightclub and the complex's Conference Centre.
Costa Rica is famous worldwide for its biodiversity, volcanoes, heavenly beaches, tropical forests and leafy woods. The province of Guanacaste offers exotic Pacific beaches where nature merges with the sea and sand. The Riu Palace Costa Rica is the ideal option for holidays as a couple and honeymoons which combine a natural and exotic environment with the luxury and comfort which is guaranteed at RIU hotels.
