OpenWays Appoints Michael Cohen to Lead Business Development Efforts in 2013
The technology-focused, sales and business development executive is bringing extensive domestic and international expertise to expand deployment of the ubiquitous Mobile Key front desk bypass solution across North America
Los Angeles - January 30, 2013 - OpenWays, the leader in mobile-based access-management and security solutions, today announced the appointment of Michael Cohen as senior vice president business development - hospitality North America. Cohen will further develop and manage the company's sales and marketing efforts, focusing on strategic account planning and sales and marketing operations.
Given the growing demand for Mobile Key by OpenWays in the hospitality market, the company previously announced plans to further invest within this industry sector, and the appointment of Cohen is a key step in executing this strategy. Cohen will be responsible for go-to-market initiatives, sales and channel development, managing demand generation, scaling the business in the Americas, and leading current large-scale deployments with major hotel chains. "With the strong, growing hospitality market demand for our Mobile Key front desk bypass solution, the timing of Michael's hire is ideal," Metivier said. "He is a performance-driven executive with a proven ability to drive commercial growth in fluid and complex environments. I look forward to working with him to scale OpenWays market presence and expand our footprint substantially within the hospitality industry."
