In Ireland, the Armada Hotel Wins Munster Wedding Venue of the Year
County Clare, Ireland - February 20, 2013 - The Armada Hotel in Spanish Point, County Clare has been named 'Best Wedding Venue in Munster' at the WeddingsOnline.ie 2013 Awards held in Clontarf Castle on Monday night (18 February, 2013).
The Spanish Point hotel was named ahead of dozens of other wedding venues from across the province to claim the top award, which was the subject of a vote involving more than 28,000 brides and grooms nationwide.
There was also success for Lahinch-based wedding videographer Gavin Gallagher of Dreamcatcher who picked up one of the overall awards on the night.
Votes received in the 4th annual awards scheme were judged by a panel of expert industry specialists, with decisions based on quality of work and the provision of “a real wedding experience”. The judging panel comprised David Heneghan from CX Index, Mark Richardson & Associates from Irish Mystery Shopping, Tara Fay from Xena Productions & Alan Berg, Education Guru for WeddingWire in the US.
Reacting to the news, Saurabh Jain, Wedding Coordinator, Armada Hotel, explained that the award success was the culmination of the “hard work and creative input of hotel Staff, Management and Directors in establishing the facility as a leading wedding venue.”
Mr. Jain added that the hotel is looking forward to its busiest year yet for weddings, up 22% on 2012.
