InnSight Hotel Management Group to Manage the 128-room Windmill Inn of Roseburg in Oregon
Springfield, OR - February 28, 2013 - For the first time in 30 years, management has changed at the popular Windmill Inn of Roseburg. The Hanna family of Roseburg has chosen InnSight Hotel Management Group of Springfield, OR to bring new energy to the 128 room property.
In the mid 1960s, LeRoy and Betty Hanna purchased the land where the Windmill Inn now stands. The Windmill Inn was built and opened in 1978. The hotel was leased for 30 years to Windmill Inns of America. In February of 2013, the lease expired and the Windmill Inn was turned back over to the Hanna family. LeRoy and Betty Hanna have retired and their seven Hanna children have formed a new company, Hanna Hospitality, LLC to operate the Windmill Inn property. All seven Hanna children were born and raised in Douglas County. Three of the siblings still live in Douglas County; the other four all live in Oregon.
Hanna Hospitality, LLC elected one of the siblings, Susan Rachor to be president of the new company. Ms. Rachor says “We chose InnSight because they are a company with integrity and ethics that the Hanna family values. InnSight is also a successful Oregon company located in Springfield, OR and several of the InnSight management people also have roots in Douglas County.”
Windmill Inn of Roseburg will retain their name, but the hotel itself will soon be undergoing a refurbishment. Plans have not been finalized for the property improvements, but they will include enhancements such as high definition televisions, new bedding and more.
