First Hospitality Group to Manage New Hyatt Place Hotel in Champaign, IL
New select-service property set to open in the spring of 2014
ROSEMONT, IL - June 11, 2013 - Rosemont, Illinois-based First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG), announced today that it is continuing to expand its portfolio with a new Hyatt Place hotel currently under development in Champaign, Ill. FHG President and COO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.
The 145-room hotel, scheduled to open in spring 2014, is being developed by Champaign-based YG Financial Group, PC, who strategically brought FHG on board as the management company for this property prior to development. The company manages 23 other properties in Illinois, primarily in the Chicago area. The Hyatt Place Champaign will be FHG's fifth hotel in the southern part of the state. The site is readily accessible to local, state and interstate highways and the surrounding neighborhood contains restaurants, condominiums, office space, theaters, retail shopping outlets and the University of Illinois, all of which create a constant demand for quality lodging.
