Crowne Plaza to Open Eighth Property in Ohio
Major conversion located in Toledo's Central Business District, along the Maumee River
MARCH 15, 2007. IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) announced plans to open a 241-room Crowne Plaza hotel in Toledo, Ohio, by year-end 2007. The contemporary 14-story property, previously a Wyndham Hotel, is owned by Paradise Hospitality, Inc. and will be managed by Lane Hospitality, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.

The planned Crowne Plaza Toledo-Downtown will offer top-notch facilities and services, including 18,600 sq.-ft. of meeting and banquet space with a 10,992 sq.-ft. ballroom; a 7000 sq-ft. restaurant and lounge; an indoor swimming pool; and state-of-the-art fitness center. Located in the heart of the Central Business District (CBD), the hotel will be located between Interstates 75 and 280, in close proximity to three Fortune 500 Companies: Owens Illinois, Owens-Corning Fiberglass and Dana Corporation. The Crowne Plaza Toledo-Downtown will feature the brand's Sleep Advantage which is available at all Crowne Plaza hotels in the Americas.
