New La Quinta Inn & Suites Now Open in Central Tucson

Tucson, AZ - February 25, 2014 - Visitors and Tucsonans alike can “wake up on the bright side®” at the new La Quinta Inn & Suites Tucson-Reid Park, 102 N. Alvernon Way. HSL Properties announces that the centrally located Tucson hotel is open after more than $4 million renovations and rebranding that began in December 2012.

Some of the most dramatic renovations are apparent from moment of arrival. The hotel entrance, which was moved to the south side of the property off East Elmwood Street, opens up into an impressive two-story lobby and reception area that was created by the removal of four guest rooms above the lobby. The new La Quinta also features a business center for guests. Renovations on the exterior of the hotel include a newly built resort pool along with a new fitness center that overlooks the pool.

All 152 guest rooms, including 29 suites, were given new carpet, paint, furniture, bedding, soft seating, 37-inch Panasonic flat-panel TVs and all-new bathrooms with vanity and granite countertops. All of the guest rooms feature new refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and complimentary high-speed Internet.

Now that the expanded lobby includes a comfortable dining area, guests will enjoy complimentary hot breakfasts during their stay. Nearby is La Quinta's Bright Side Market, a 24/7 retail store offering snacks, quick meals, frozen food, sundries, personal care and electronic items for guests who may have left an item behind or need a quick snack, meal or beverage.

“The new La Quinta Inn & Suites is ideally located in the heart of the city, close to El Con Mall, Park Place Mall and Reid Park, where there is championship golfing and tennis, as well as college and professional baseball at Hi Corbett Field. In addition, it is closely located to the University of Arizona,” said Jerry Fischer of HSL Properties.
