Staybridge to Triple Presence in San Antonio

MARCH 20, 2007. IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group announced that San Antonio, Texas can expect nearly 500 additional guest suites by early 2009. With the addition of four Staybridge Suites hotels, the hotel chain will triple its presence in San Antonio.

'San Antonio is an ideal market for extended-stay development and the demand is currently greater than the supply,' said Robert Radomski, vice president, Brand Management, Staybridge Suites. 'With the addition of these four new developments, we look forward to serving our guests' needs wherever they may need extended-stay lodging in the greater San Antonio area.'

About the four Staybridge Suites developments in San Antonio

o The Staybridge Suites at 123 Hoefgen Rd. is a $15 million, 12-story hotel in historic San Antonio with 138 suites. The property is expected to open summer 2007 and will bring 30 new employment opportunities to the community. The hotel is owned by SSG Hotel, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group and managed by IHG's Americas operations division, The Hotel Management Group.

o The Staybridge Suites at 281 North and Loop 1604 is a $10 million, five-story hotel in Sonterra with 120 suites. The property is expected to open spring 2008 and will bring more than 20 new employment opportunities to the community. The hotel is owned by Montex Real Estate, Co., LLC, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.

o The Staybridge Suites at NW Loop 1604 North and Chase Hill Blvd. in the UTSA/Fiesta Texas area is a four-story hotel in Northwest San Antonio with 120 suites. The property is expected to open spring 2008 and will bring 25 new employment opportunities to the community. The hotel is owned by La Cantera Hospitality LLC and managed by Dellisart Lodging, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.

o The Staybridge Suites at Commerce St. and North Pecos is a $15 million, ten-story hotel in historic Cattleman Square in downtown San Antonio with 120 suites. The property is expected to open early 2009 and will bring 30 new employment opportunities to the community. The hotel is owned by Vaquero Development Company and managed by Dallas-based Hospitality Management Corporation, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.

All four properties will feature:

San Antonio currently has two Staybridge Suites hotels open, one near the San Antonio airport and one in Northwest San Antonio.
