Lynn Mitchell Named Chairman of Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association Board
June 19, 2014 - The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association (NHLA), a statewide trade association with approximately 200 member companies, appointed Lynn Mitchell as Chairman of the Board.
Mitchell is Vice President of Operations for Soleil Management, a vacation resort management company established in 2001 and serving various destinations throughout the nation. He oversees Nevada and Florida properties for Soleil Management. Mitchell most recently served as Vice Chairman of the NHLA board and has been a board member for several years.
Mitchell has an impressive and extensive career in the hospitality industry having held high-level executive positions with leading companies such as ARAMARK Parks and Resorts, Radisson Hotels and Resorts, ITT Sheraton Hotels and Resorts and Tandem/Outsource International. His work covered domestic and international destinations.
In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board for the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association, Mitchell currently serves on the SKAL International Board of Directors, and is a member of the Community Associations Institute, Community Management Institute-Nevada Chapter, Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association and Arizona Executives.
"The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association is comprised of leading hotels and business entities," Mitchell said. Mitchell added that NHLA is partnered with the Global Gaming Show, G2E, this year, bringing the new component of a Hotel Show to the event. "The west coast has not seen a hotel industry- specific show for several years, and we are excited to be a partner in the first-annual show. The G2E Hotel Show will deliver in-depth insight for the industry promising a full spectrum of content, education and a robust trade show dedicated to hotel operations," he said.
In conjunction with the G2E trade show, the annual Stars of the Industry Hospitality Awards gala will be held October 2 at the Venetian. The annual event recognizes the top industry leaders and employees throughout the state.
