Snyder Nationwide Real Estate Sells Garland's Oak Creek Lodge in Sedona
SCOTTSDALE, AZ - August 6, 2014 - Snyder Nationwide Real Estate, Inc. is pleased to announce the sale of Garland's Oak Creek Lodge located in Oak Creek Canyon and nestled against the towering sandstone cliffs of the Red Rock/Secret Canyon Wilderness eight miles north of Sedona and 20 miles south of Flagstaff.
Snyder Nationwide Real Estate exclusively represented Gary & Mary Garland, whose family bought the Lodge in 1972 and sold it to Verandas Apartments, LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, which plans to continue the legacy created by the Garlands to operate and maintain the Lodge in the same manner that has led to decades of success. The new owners were equally impressed with the farm-to-table experience pioneered by the Garlands from the early 1970s at the Lodge.
The Lodge began as a homestead around 1908 with the main dining room constructed in 1943 and cabins added throughout the years. Sixteen cozy cabins now dot the approximate ten-acre property, which is carpeted with lush lawns, overflowing gardens and fruit orchards.
As a mainstay for savvy vacationers for over 70 years, the Lodge represents the sophistication of an earlier age with no TV or telephones in the rooms—allowing guests to enjoy the tranquil beauty and silence of the rustling Oak Creek, which runs for 1/4 mile alongside the property.
