Multi-million Dollar Effort Will Produce a 200 room Doubletree Hotel
EL PASO, TX, March 22, 2007. El Paso attorney and businessman Jim Scherr has announced the multi-million dollar development of a 200-room Doubletree hotel in El Paso, Texas. A construction commencement ceremony was held today, with completion anticipated in Spring 2009.
The Doubletree, which will be located in the heart of downtown El Paso, will be operated by El Paso-based Hotel Don Quixote LTD, under a franchise license agreement with Doubletree Hotel Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation. The hotel will be managed by Richfield Hospitality, Inc. F.T. James Construction, Inc. has been retained as the joint venture general contractor with Mitchell Carlson Stone, Inc., as the architect.

The Doubletree Hotel El Paso, a 17-story high rise in Downtown El Paso will boast 200 guest rooms, 6 meeting rooms, and a full-service restaurant with breakfast, lunch, dinner and 24-hour room service.
