Tom Pace Wins Bespoke Hotels Chef of the Year Award
Award Winning and Rapidly Rising in The Kitchen
November 20, 2014 - Tom Pace, the 2014 Bespoke Chef of the Year, was inspired to test himself in the kitchen from an early age, having grown up with both parents keen on the culinary side of things, and his mother in particular having trained as a chef herself. After leaving school and undertaking a hotel management course, Tom soon found his attention wandering back to the kitchen and decided to enroll at the College of Food (now the UCB) in his native Birmingham.
Working across independent hotels in the midlands, Tom derived great value from the camaraderie of the kitchen. Always open to researching new trends and potential recipes to compliment his menu, he now looks forward to continuing to cook for colleagues and peers from across the Bespoke Group.
Since being awarded Chef of the Year at the recent BeFactor Awards, selected from a pool of over one hundred properties and kitchen teams across the UK, Tom has wasted no time in looking ahead to welcoming an apprentice to the fold next year and further capitalising on his recent triumph. And with a young daughter at home he may soon be training the next generation of chefs out of hours as well.
