Hampton Opens 15 Hotels
Hampton opened 15 properties in February and March 2007 representing 1,325 new rooms
APRIL 10, 2007. The new openings include eight Hampton Inn hotels and seven Hampton Inn & Suites properties. All openings, with the exception of one conversion, are franchised newly constructed hotels.
'We have achieved great development strides in February and March with the opening of 15 hotels overall,' said Phil Cordell, senior vice-president, Hampton brand management. 'For the past few years, as a company we have placed a great focus on growing a presence for Hampton in the western United States while also focusing on growing our Hampton Inn & Suites product. With the opening of six hotels West of the Mississippi and seven Hampton Inn & Suites hotels overall this month and last, we have raised the development bar for our brand.'
From a product development standpoint, Hampton recently announced it has achieved full implementation of its new bedding package, 'Cloud Nine. The New Hampton Bed Experience,' which features a crisp, white duvet cover enveloping a plush 200-thread-count comforter, white sheets and the guest's choice of down or foam jumbo size pillows.
