The Newest Boutique in the Berkshires, Hotel on North, Offers Distinctive New Meeting and Event Spaces
PITTSFIELD, MA. October 29, 2015 - Centrally located in the heart of the Berkshires in Pittsfield, MA, Hotel on North invites corporate and executive groups to enhance the meeting experience with nearly 3,000 square feet of stimulating new event space.
Housed in a pair of buildings that date from the 1880s and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Hotel on North lends character to the overall groups experience by creating lively spaces designed to inspire interaction and innovation.
Meet 209, Meet 309 and Meet 409, each on a different floor, can accommodate groups of up to 40 people in a variety of settings. The Atrium located just outside of these three meetings rooms is flooded with natural light from a large skylight installation making it a rejuvenating space for breakout sessions and to enjoy locally pressed coffee from the Barrington Coffee Roasting Company along with other Berkshire-based treats.
The Hall, a dramatic 1,600 square foot space on the second floor with 12-foot ceilings, centuries-old exposed brick, vintage crystal chandeliers and commanding windows offers groups a front row seat to sweeping views of upper North Street. The Hall can accommodate up to 200 people.
All meeting and banquet spaces are equipped with complimentary fiber-optically sourced Wi-Fi, HD video and audio, Bluetooth and legacy connectivity for multiple formatted presentations.
Catering is available from the onsite restaurant Eat on North, with globally inspired menus from James Beard featured Executive Chef Brian Alberg that are sourced locally from regional farmers and purveyors located in the Berkshires, Hudson Valley and Vermont. Groups can choose from a variety of menus, including specials of the day and both a la carte and buffet options. Highlights include Caesar salad, cauliflower bisque, meatballs with broccoli rabe and roasted tomato, smoked turkey with avocado on grilled naan, braised Berkshire pork shoulder, and grilled flank steak with chimichurri, followed by sweets such as apple crumble with ginger ice cream and lemon-ricotta cheesecake.
Opened in June 2015, Hotel on North celebrates the building's heritage with original and refurbished tin ceilings, exposed brick walls and wood columns. The hotel's 45 guestrooms and vibrant social spaces feature period furnishings and contemporary handcrafted pieces from the workshops of local artisans and craftspeople, combined with antique touches that add a Victorian sensibility.
