Ka'anapali Beach Hotel Announces John White's Promotion to Director of Sales and Marketing
KA'ANAPALI, HI. November 26, 2015 - Ka'anapali Beach Hotel, Hawaii's Most Hawaiian Hotel, recently announced that John White has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing.
Ka'anapali Beach Hotel and The Plantation Inn Director of Sales and Marketing, John White, brings a wealth of management experience to Hawaii's Most Hawaiian Hotel. In this current role, John spearheads all global sales and marketing efforts for Ka'anapali Beach Hotel, its' sister property, The Plantation Inn and various food and beverage outlets.
John began his management role nearly five years ago with Ka'anapali Beach Hotel as associate director of sales and marketing where he led key initiatives and worked across hotel leadership to validate and reinforce Hawaiian values through various programming. His sharp intellect and strategic branding skills led him to be promoted to his current role as director of sales and marketing, a position he has held since 2014. In his position John developed a revenue plan for Ka'anapali Beach Hotel which increased the total sales by 20% year over year.
A fixture in Maui tourism since 2003, John previously served as president of the popular adventure company, Go Zip LLC, which operated Kapalua Adventures and Maui Pineapple Tours. Additionally, John served as the business consultant for Kapaula Resort where he co-launched the Kapalua Adventures Department consisting of Kapalua Adventures Ziplines and the Kapalua Adventure Center which housed retail and cafe operations.
Originally from Oregon where he worked for Nike, John attended The Colorado College. Eager to trade in the snow for the white sand and surf at Ka'anapali Beach, John is an avid runner and enjoys traveling with his wife in his spare time.
