December 8, 2015 - Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad City Centre Hotel, a member of Inter-Continental Hotels Group have announced the appointment of Deva Kumar as their new Executive Chef. The 5 star property, which has set the benchmark for culinary experience in Ahmedabad since its inception is pleased to welcome one of the best chefs in the industry to the city.

Executive Chef, Deva Kumar comes from Chennai, one of India's best known food regions and sincerely believes that cooking is magical as it has the power to elevate one's senses.According to him the purest flavours originate only when one cooks with passion. His belief matches the philosophy of Crowne Plaza which is to maintain the authenticity of the finest ingredients and serve their guests with the truest flavors.

Prior to his appointment, Deva Kumar was at the helm of the kitchen at Hyatt Place, Gurgaon and he is an expert at Italian and Continental cuisines but also highly passionate about North & South Indian cuisines.

“I have been told that people in Ahmedabad love their food which makes me even more excited to treat them with an ultimate experience” says Executive Chef Deva Kumar, who is set to head the kitchen for the hotel's restaurants Bella and Essence.
