WHITE PLAINS, NY, April 23, 2007. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) today announces the opening The Westin Washington DC City Center, located in the heart of the United States capital city of Washington, DC. The Westin Washington DC City Center now features 400 guestrooms and 13 suites, as well as extensive meeting and banquet facilities. The hotel is owned by Columbia Sussex Corporation and will be managed under a long-term management agreement with Starwood, Westin's parent company.

The Westin Washington DC City Center is ideally located just blocks from The White House, The Washington DC Convention Center and many of the city's corporate and government offices near Capital Hill. Leisure travelers will enjoy the hotel's proximity to the myriad cultural and leisure attractions that the city has to offer, including the Smithsonian Museum and The Mall of Monuments.
