FRANSCHHOEK, SOUTH AFRICA BASED LUXURY HOSPITALITY GROUP, LEEU COLLECTION, ANNOUNCES ITS NEW CEO, CARRIE WICKS
Press Release
New York, NY - November 3, 2016 - Carrie Wicks has been appointed CEO of Leeu Collection, effective immediately. Carrie was previously Operations Director at Firmdale Hotels, in the United Kingdom, where she worked for 19 years and was responsible for Firmdale's growth operationally.
Carrie is a driven and positive individual with recognised leadership qualities and international experience, has an eye for detail and a proven track record of creating lean, non-bureaucratic and dynamic organizations that respond rapidly to the changing demands of markets and customers, qualities that will assist her in taking Leeu Collection to an even higher level of excellence.

“I am very excited to be joining Leeu Collection,” says Carrie of her appointment. “There is no doubt that Analjit Singh is an inspirational founder and I anticipate an incredible journey with him and the team as we grow and develop the portfolio.” Says Analjit Singh, aka BAS, "Carrie brings strong management capability and strength to Leeu Collection as we enter a phase of focused attention on operations and excellence in guest experience. We are delighted to have Carrie to lead the team.” More about Leeu Collection: Leeu Collection's hospitality portfolio currently comprises three five-star boutique properties in South Africa: Leeu Estates, a 17-room country house retreat and boutique winery in the Franschhoek valley, Leeu House, an exclusive 12-room hotel in the heart of Franschhoek village; and Le Quartier Français, a romantic 21-room hotel also located in the village, adjacent to Le Quartier Français the 3-bedroom LQF Villa recently opened. The first addition outside South Africa to the portfolio was Linthwaite House, a 30-room country retreat overlooking Lake Windermere in England's scenic Lake District. Complementing Leeu Collection on the main street of Franschhoek is Tuk Tuk, a craft beer microbrewery in collaboration with The Cape Brewing Company; and an exotic new culinary hub Heritage Square, which will be home to Marigold, Franschhoek' s first Indian restaurant. Everard Read, Franschhoek, opening early 2017 in partnership with Leeu Collection, is a considered space showing the best modern and contemporary works by Southern African artists. The Gallery includes a sculpture garden, interspersed with herbs and vegetables.
