New Hotel Opening- Southern Gem in Tuscaloosa
Good afternoon,
Hope you're well. A new Southern hotel gem has opened in Tuscaloosa, AL. Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa Downtown is an upscale riverfront boutique hotel, minutes from the experience and tradition of the University of Alabama, and only steps away from Tuscaloosa's vibrant entertainment district. The 91-room hotel debuts as Tuscaloosa's first riverfront hotel and is Alabama's first Hotel Indigo property and is uniquely designed to reflect the culture, character and history of the surrounding neighborhood.
Debuting The Lookout, a rooftop bar, Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa greets guests with a craft cocktail menu, local distillery options and light fare. Dining is inspired by Southern culture at the on-site restaurant, Shoal's Kitchen. Serving breakfast and dinner, Shoal's Kitchen has partnered with local vendors including Snow's Bend Farms, Southfresh Farms and Heritage House Coffee & Tea, among others, to offer a fresh, locally sourced menu. At Pure Provisions -- a boutique gourmet shoppe within the hotel -- neighbors and guests enjoy fresh sandwiches, decadent snacks and beverages. With curated artwork displayed throughout the hotel (that is rotated every two months) from resident artists of Kentuck Art Center, guests relax in spacious guest rooms featuring modern furnishings with twists of bold color - steel grays, navy blue and vivid green - inspired by the adjacent Black Warrior River.
Tuscaloosa is steeped in tradition and nationally known for the University of Alabama's success in sports, particularly football. With five major bodies of water, Tuscaloosa was incorporated in the year 1819 and is located along the riverbanks of the Black Warrior River. The city's arts and entertainment industry is flourishing with opportunities while there is a unique history when it comes to southern-style cooking and culinary experiences. On a typical Fall Saturday in Tuscaloosa, visitors may be surrounded by 100,000 football friends in Bryant-Denny Stadium, while for every other day of the week, Tuscaloosa offers sights and activities suited for all ages with outdoor activities like hiking, biking, river activities, golfing, museums, shopping and art collections. Easily accessible by car or air through Birmingham, Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa is located at 111 Greensboro Avenue.
