. October 14, 2008

SOUTHINGTON, CT, January 17, 2008. The Holiday Inn Express Southington recently completed $875K in renovations to update its appearance and meet current Holiday Inn Express brand standards. Both interior and exterior spaces were renovated during the 7-month long process. The 122-room Holiday Inn Express Southington is professionally managed by Connecticut-based Waterford Hotel Group, which currently operates 24 hotels in eight states.

The hotel's exterior has been completely transformed by the newly constructed porte cochere, providing an updated look to the front of the property. New colorful landscaping on the hotel grounds also reflects the natural beauty of the Southington community's local environment.

Inside the hotel, renovations include the addition of a business center and Grab N' Go market, new wall vinyl in the lobby, breakfast area and guest corridors, and new furniture in the meeting rooms. In the guestrooms, new carpet, ottomans and sofas were added.

"This well-deserved makeover incorporates a more contemporary and fresh design into our hotel, and emphasizes our commitment to quality and guest service," said Lindsey Holmes, General Manager for the Holiday Inn Express Southington.
