Moody National Hospitality Management Celebrates Topping-Out of Residence Inn Medical Center in Houston

USA, Houston, Texas. May 28, 2018

Construction on the Residence Inn Medical Center has
reached new heights. Arch-Con Construction, the general contractor for
the project, topped-out the 16-story hotel located in close proximity to
the Texas Medical Center and NRG Stadium.

“We are thrilled to build this hotel in such a significant location
in Houston,” said Brett Moody, CEO of Moody National Companies, the
project developer. “Being so close to the Texas Medical Center makes it a
second home for many people and their families who travel to Houston
for treatment.”

The hotel, managed by Moody National Hospitality Management, will
have 182 rooms, featuring all suites, making it a comfortable option for
people from around the world visiting the Texas Medical Center.
Families can stay for extended periods of time and feel that they have a
home away from home with upscale kitchens and appliances in every room.
The hotel will also include an indoor pool, full-size fitness workout
room and a pantry for grab-and-go food conveniences to alleviate some of
the stresses of travel.

“We are on track to finish on time in February of 2019 before the Houston Livestock Show and RodeoTM,”
Michael Vaughn, Senior Vice President of Hospitality for Arch-Con
Construction said. “With more than 500 events a year at NRG Park, there
is always something going on, and we are excited to offer a place for
visitors to stay and add to their Houston experience.”

The hotel is also walking distance from NRG Stadium, which hosted the 2017 Super Bowl, and NRG Center. This location makes it a convenient option for guests to come and enjoy the unique experience of the Houston Livestock Show and RodeoTM, NFL football games and consumer shows - including the Offshore Technology Conference, which hosted 64,700 attendees in 2017. The hotel will have a large lobby and lounge and dining areas to relax while they visit. There will also be ample parking for guests in the 70,000-square-foot parking garage.

The project team includes developer Moody National Companies, architect Mitchell Carlson Stone and construction manager The Mathis Group. The second floor of the hotel includes four well-sized meeting/conference rooms while floors 3-16 serve as guest room and service floors.  The building is a concrete structure, encapsulated with EIFS, cast stone and brick accents.
