Kessler Ends Franchise Agreement for Westin Grand Bohemian
Hotel Will Continue Operation as Independent Kessler Collection Property
ORLANDO, FL, September 21, 2006. After five years in the Westin family of hotels, The Kessler Collection announced today that the AAA Four-Diamond Westin Grand Bohemian in downtown Orlando will move forward as an independent property effective November 20, 2006. The hotel will be renamed "Grand Bohemian Hotel - Orlando."
The Kessler Collection has chosen not to continue a franchise relationship with Starwood Hotels, Westin's parent company, which gives the hotel use of the Westin name and certain marketing alliances.
