Hotel Del Coronado Welcomes New Team Members

Thiphakhoun Vyrasith, Patrick Cheah, Josh Jennings and Brad Mcpherson Join the Team as a New Era Approaches at the Legendary Hotel Del Coronado

Hotel del Coronado is pleased to announce the additions of Thiphakhoun Vyrasith as director of food & beverage, Patrick Cheah as director of experience planning and reservations, Josh Jennings as ENO Market & Pizzeria and Sundaes general manager, and Brad McPherson as director of human resources. Experts in their fields with over 95 years of collective experience, the group brings a diverse, illustrious and seasoned prowess in the world of luxury hospitality to The Del as the property nears the completion of the next phase of its Master Plan renovation.

Thiphakhoun Vyrasith, director of food & beverage, will oversee the resort's culinary and food and beverage operations, with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Originally from Laos, she has held positions within a selection of prestigious hospitality brands including The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, MGM Grand and more, most recently at The Ritz-Carlton JW Marriott at LA Live in Los Angeles. She has executed the opening of over 30 restaurants, bars, lounges, event spaces, clubs, food courts and more during her tenure in the hospitality world. Vyrasith will manage all creative and operational facets of Hotel del Coronado's culinary offerings from the new Sun Deck, Babcock & Story Bar, ENO Market & Pizzeria to in-room dining, catering and seasonal extravaganzas in and outside of the Crown Room.

Originally from Singapore, Patrick Cheah, director of experience planning and reservations, is an adventure-seeker at heart and will direct The Del's experiences and reservations with the same dedicated enthusiasm. His 30-plus years of experience (and 23 with Hilton, specifically) include director of Asia Pacific operations at Hilton Reservations and Customer Care, assistant director of revenue at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando, director of reservations at Grand Wailea, director of reservations at Hilton Chicago and more. Cheah's exemplary roster with experience-driven resorts makes him the perfect candidate to usher in a new chapter of accommodations, activities and experiences at the beloved Hotel del Coronado.

ENO Market & Pizzeria and Sundaes new General Manager Josh Jennings helms from New Orleans, Louisiana. Most recently, Jennings led all culinary outlets at Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, with full top-to-bottom oversight of all concepts including hiring, coaching, leadership and initiatives. Prior to this, he served as the director of restaurant operations for the House of Blues in New Orleans, which encompassed two full-service restaurants with bars, one stand-alone bar, a music hall and more. Jennings will lead the debut of both ENO Market and ENO Pizzeria's stunning upgrade, along with the fan-favorite Sundaes gourmet gelato and handcrafted paleta shop.

Brad McPherson, director of human resources, offers more than 25 years of leadership experience within human resource management in the hospitality, entertainment, distribution and retail sectors. His decorated background ranges from Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits of Nevada, MGM Resorts International, Hilton Hotels Corporation and more. With plenty of new employees joining the ranks of The Del alongside long-standing, veteran staff, McPherson will act as a trusted resource and advisor from top to bottom with his expertise in employee relations, training and workshops, operations and more.

Hotel Spa: Reconnecting With Nature

Hotel spas have never been so popular. The global wellness market is estimated to be in excess of $1.5 trillion with an annual growth rate of 5 to 10 percent. Consequently, spas are continually developing new programs, products, tools, and environments to meet the needs of guests who are seeking total body health and wellness. One trend that spas are embracing is a multiplicity of ways to reconnect with nature.
