The Chanler at Cliff Walk Appoints New Sales Director Cheryl Twiss

USA, Newport, Rhode Island. January 18, 2022

The Chanler at Cliff Walk has named Cheryl Twiss the new Director of Sales. Her background as Vice President of Sales for Newport Hospitality, combined with a deep understanding of reimaging a post pandemic hospitality world, will help to further advance The Chanler brand of excellence.

Twiss assumed the role in October of this year where she is currently managing day-to-day operations for sales at The Chanler, known for its exclusive event experiences and high-end corporate functions. She will also lead the team by expanding sales in new and emerging markets. "The Chanler brand and commitment to excellence align with my years of experience and dedication to the exceptional hospitality experience," said Twiss.

Prior to her role at The Chanler, Twiss was Director of Community Relations for Greenwich Farms Warwick where she led on client relationship development and public relations. "The opportunity to be the Director of Sales at The Chanler renewed my passion for hospitality sales and I am honored to be part of this dedicated team," said Twiss. With 40 years of experience and a background in sales management from Newport Hospitality, Hotel Viking, Newport Marriott, and the Hyatt Regency, Twiss brings with her a deep sense of community pride and knowledge of the needs of travelers to Newport.

Twiss's highly decorated background includes DMC Network Netty Awards for "Most Converted Leads" and "Sales Leadership" as well as RI Hospitality Association's "Woman of the Year".
