Terranea Resort Honored With Two Visit California Poppy Awards
Southern California's Premier Oceanfront Resort's Influencer Campaign and Social Media Campaign Were Recognized for Excellence in Tourism Marketing
Visit California honored tourism destinations and attractions across California for excellence in tourism marketing at the organization's biennial Poppy Awards, held Feb. 15 in San Francisco.
Terranea Resort is proud to announce that it was selected as the winner in the Influencer Campaign and Social Media Campaign category for its respective campaigns. The resort's Best Influencer Campaign titled, "Terranea Resort Ambassador Campaign," reflected the optimal use of influencer marketing to help advocate for the brand and target consumers to achieve social media engagement, reach, number of impressions, website traffic, pick up and social media integration. The resort's Best Social Media Campaign titled, "Rediscover You," reflected creative and effective use of paid advertising on social media channels to amplify the campaign and employ social media to feature the California resort destination. Terranea was also named a finalist for Best Recovery Campaign and Destination Stewardship & Sustainable Travel Award categories.

Beteta, alongside Visit California's board officers, presented the 2022 Poppy Awards during the 14th annual Visit California Outlook Forum, held Feb. 14-15 at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco and attended by more than 500 tourism industry leaders.
A panel of industry marketing experts selected the winners of the Poppy Awards in eight categories, awarding winners in both business and destination categories.

Crafted by California artisan Nicholson Blown Glass in Auburn, Poppy Awards are bestowed every two years to acknowledge the best of California's tourism promotion. The eligibility period for programs submitted for the 2022 Poppy Awards was Jan 1, 2020 to Oct 1, 2021. Submissions were reviewed by Visit California staff, then blind judged by industry committee leadership.
