The Central Station Hotel in Memphis Names Troy Dixon as General Manager
The Central Station, a Curio Collection by Hilton™ hotel managed by Valor Hospitality Partners, announced the appointment of Troy Dixon as general manager. The leadership appointment will bring a seasoned perspective to the 123-room boutique hotel located in Memphis' iconic South Main district, which transformed the 105-year-old renowned transportation hub into a luxury eight-story, music and design-driven hotel.
"Central Station not only embraces its history as a bustling, early-1900s transportation hub, it also pays homage to Memphis through several onsite amenities and activations," said Dixon. "I look forward to joining an incredible team and working together to continue providing a luxurious, Memphis-inspired experience for guests and locals alike."
As general manager, Dixon will lead day-to-day hotel operations, guest relations and team development for Central Station. A seasoned hospitality executive, Dixon brings more than a decade of leadership experience to the team. Prior to joining Central Station, Dixon served as director of operations for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, including leading departments at the Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis.
Previously located in Portland, Oregon, Dixon served as director of operations for Hilton Hotels and Resorts properties throughout the city. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University.
With picturesque views of the Mississippi River and downtown Memphis, Central Station offers luxury guest accommodations, upscale amenities and a world-class music experience, with an intimate listening room and an expansive library of vinyl records. The hotel is also home to Eight & Sand, a bar and lounge with a nightly DJ curating Memphis-only playlists, and an upscale French eatery, Bishop.
