Eos Hospitality Appoints Barry Wabler as Chief Financial Officer

EOS Hospitality is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Wabler as Chief Financial Officer. At EOS Hospitality, Wabler will be focused on financial strategy and planning and serve as the leader of the finance team. EOS Hospitality currently operates a portfolio of 50 hotels with more than 7,000 keys, making it one of the fastest growing hotel companies in the U.S.

Wabler boasts 40 years of experience in finance focused on the hospitality, foodservice and business services industries. In his prior roles as Chief Financial Officer, Wabler's responsibilities have encompassed leading the finance organization at fast-growing hotel management companies with national portfolios of branded and independent full-service hotel and resort properties and nationally branded, select service hotels. His concentrations have primarily been in finance, operations, process improvement, human resources, technology and risk management.

Most recently, Wabler was Partner at Valentine Insurance Services LLC, where he organized and structured the business for growth. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer at SJV Data Solutions from 2020 to 2022, where he was responsible for the recapitalization and merger of the company and appointed Chief Financial Officer of the combined entity. In 2012, Barry was appointed Davidson Hotels & Resorts' Executive Vice President and first Chief Financial Officer. In that role, he was tasked with building out the finance infrastructure to ensure the platform was scalable; implementing new FP&A processes; migrating the finance and accounting functions across hotels to a new reporting system; overhauling internal control standards; outsourcing payroll; and significantly upgrading the insurance program for the company.

Other companies at which Barry Wabler held the role of Chief Financial Offer include Hotel Equities, a hotel development and management company; Currey & Company, a home furnishings company; and Frosty Acres Brands, an independent food service distributor co-op. Wabler started his career as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co., working primarily with financial institutions and real estate developers. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting, followed by a one year Masters of Accountancy program.
