The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay Appoints Rosie Karakan as New Director of Sales and Marketing
The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay has appointed Rosie Karakan as Director of Sales and Marketing. Karakan has a robust history in the hospitality industry, bringing over 20 years of experience to the Forbes Five-Star resort.
Karakan joins The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay after spending over three years as Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Dream Hotel Group in Los Angeles. She has previously held Director of Sales and Marketing roles at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles and Avalon Hotels. Karakan was also part of the opening team as Director of Sales for Freehand Hotel Los Angeles. Her past experience includes sales management positions at PUBLIC, An Ian Schrager Hotel in Los Angeles. Karakan also has valuable experience specific to The Ritz-Carlton brand. She previously worked at The Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn and The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, as well as at the corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase.

Applying impactful marketing across web, digital, social media, and more, Karakan will drive ROI by collaborating with internal sales and marketing teams. Her immediate priorities involve spearheading marketing plans around the resort's 2024 renovations as well as expanding corporate and group offerings. With her extensive sales and marketing expertise, Karakan is well-positioned to enhance visibility and growth for The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay.

Karakan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. She is fluent in both French and English, supporting international sales goals. Karakan is now based in the Bay Area and spends her free time enjoying quality time on the coast her husband and two children.
