. October 14, 2008

WICHITA, KS, November 26, 2007. LodgeWorks, L.P. announces that it has signed a contract with Sequoia Development, Inc., to manage the first new-build Hyatt Summerfield Suites prototype near Salt Lake City, Utah. The 137-suite property, which has already broken ground at 9680 South Monroe Street in Sandy, Utah, is scheduled to open in Summer 2008. The contract affirms LodgeWorks' commitment to grow its management portfolio. Wichita, Kansas-based LodgeWorks pioneered the upscale all-suite concept with Residence Inn during the 1970s and went on to launch the Summerfield Suites Hotel brand in 1988.

"Managing the new Hyatt Summerfield Suites is in keeping with our strategy to extend our operating strength, partnering with talented developers and well-regarded brands," said B. Anthony Isaac, LodgeWorks' president. "Working with Sequoia Development and Global Hyatt as they launch this next generation is a natural extension of our long-standing commitment to the Summerfield brand."

The prototype Hyatt Summerfield Suites property is being developed by Sequoia Development, Inc., of Salt Lake City, which is making its first venture into the hospitality industry. Principal Kevin Ludlow and team have developed numerous upscale office and residential projects in greater Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah.

"I am excited to be associated with Hyatt Hotels and LodgeWorks. Of the many projects our company has developed over the years, this one seems to be generating the most interest. Hyatt Summerfield Suites will be a fantastic addition to the robust Salt Lake Valley economy," said Ludlow.

LodgeWorks is an ideal fit for managing the new prototype property. Not only does LodgeWorks enjoy a noteworthy history with the Summerfield Suites brand, but the company's experienced corporate and field-based team extends a full menu of resources from management to sales/marketing to asset management/accounting. LodgeWorks has an ongoing record of industry-leading guest satisfaction scores, operating results, and profit margins. "We've got an experienced and talented team already in place, so our focus is on results," explains Isaac.

Located in the epicenter of Sandy at the south end of the Salt Lake Valley, the first prototype Hyatt Summerfield Suites will be the closest hotel to the South Town Exposition Center, and near the home stadium of Utah's professional soccer team, the Real Salt Lake. The hotel will include 20 two-bedroom suites, 52 one-bedroom suites and 65 studios. Among the hotel's new and distinctive design elements will be larger kitchens that double as "multi-functional rooms" for socializing and working as well as cooking and eating. The prototype property will also offer 2,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, an outdoor fireplace with comfortable patio seating and complementary breakfast buffet.
