Lovango Resort & Beach Club, the family-owned private island resort overlooking USVI's Caneel Bay, announces the appointment of Eric Landt as General Manager. Landt's 30 years of experience in hospitality and business development, as well as his twenty-one-year career overseeing The Wauwinet and the White Elephant Resorts in Nantucket Island, MA, will be fundamental in the evolution of Lovango Resort.

Nestled on a private island, Lovango Resort & Beach Club is one of three properties in the Little Gem Resort's portfolio of boutique hotels, which also includes the Nantucket Hotel & Resort, Nantucket, MA, and the Winnetu Oceanside Resort, Martha's Vineyard, MA. "I am so excited to join Little Gem Resorts and the team on Lovango. The opportunity to blend my Nantucket, New England hospitality style with the warmth and casual style of the USVI is going to be a fun adventure that I cannot wait to bring to life on Lovango," says Eric Landt.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Landt's career began at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. He went on to work for the Castle Hotel & Spa in Tarrytown, NY, hired as Restaurant Manager and quickly accelerating to role of General Manager, where he spearheaded operations from 1996-2001. While at the Wauwinet, Landt oversaw an extensive renovation project, elevated the restaurant to AAA Five Diamond status, and achieved numerous accolades for the property.

Landt's expertise in hotel operations and strategic planning will prove integral in maintaining Lovango's guest experiences and supporting expansion plans for the future. Landt will oversee all day-to-day operations of the island including Lovango's Food and Beverage and Resort programing. He will also oversee the Lovango's continued build-out as it adds rooms and amenities, sustainability initiatives and connection with the local community.
