Hotel Association of Greater Dallas Presents Awards
Recognizes Individuals, Hotels, and Companies for Contributions to the Hotel Industry
DALLAS, TX, November 19, 2007. It was an evening of fun and celebration on Saturday, November 10 as hoteliers from across North Texas gathered to honor the hotel industry's top performers over the past year. The event was Hotel Association of Greater Dallas inaugural HOSPY's Award Gala held at the Hilton Anatole Hotel Dallas. The hotel association's "HOSPY" award recognizes the contribution of an individual or organization to the industry over the past year.
Top awards of the evening went to:
---|Maura Gast, the President of the Irving Convention & Visitors Bureau, who was awarded the Friend of the Industry Award for her support of the hotel Industry and work in promoting tourism to North Texas;
---|Joe Palmieri, General Manager at the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre, who was awarded General Manager of the Year in the Full Service Hotel Category, and
---|Gail Jackson, General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn DFW South, who was chosen General Manager of the Year in the Select Service Hotel Category.
"This is a night where we celebrated those who have helped make the North Texas hotel industry one of the best in the country," said Brooke Dieterlen, executive director of the Hotel Association of Greater Dallas. "It is through their efforts, which are made on a daily basis, that Dallas and North Texas area remain one of the top places to visit or hold meetings."
In all, Fifteen "HOSPY" awards were presented to individuals, hotels, and companies recognizing their contribution to the hotel industry over the past year. The award winners were:
