Marriott International Appoints Carolina Voullieme as Multi-Property Director of Sales and Marketing
Marriott International is pleased to announce the appointment of Carolina Voullieme as Multi-Property Director of Sales and Marketing, overseeing both the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino and the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort. In her expanded role, Carolina will lead the development and implementation of innovative sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth, enhance the guest experience, and expand the market share of both properties.
With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Carolina brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of success. Her most recent achievements at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino include managing the team through a property-wide makeover and guestrooms renovation, as well as spearheading efforts that led to numerous accolades, such as being named ‘Sales Team of the Year for CALA and Americas' and receiving the ‘Marketing Team of the Year' award by Marriott in 2023.
Carolina's career with Marriott spans several decades, beginning in her early years in the hospitality industry with a global hotel chain and the Santiago Marriott. She went on to make significant strides in her career, becoming the Director of Sales at both the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino and the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort. In 2009, she led her team to exceed budgeted occupancy by 3.5%, while also boosting the hotel's RevPAR ranking from third to first in its competitive market.
In 2000, Carolina returned to her home country, where she took on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, Santiago. Her expertise continued to grow as she advanced to the Aruba Marriott Resort, where her leadership contributed to generating over $140 million in total revenues.
"I am thrilled to return to Grand Cayman, a destination that holds a special place in my heart as I used to live there, and to be part of the Grand Cayman Marriott family," said Carolina. "Together, we will elevate the resort to new heights of success by delivering exceptional service and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives that drive growth and revenue.
"Hermes Cuello, General Manager of the Grand Cayman Marriott, added, "We are delighted to welcome Carolina back to the island as Multi-Property Director of Sales & Marketing.
