Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort Renames Following Villa Expansion

USA, San Antonio, Texas. December 09, 2025

Hyatt Regency Hill Country, a newly renovated resort located on 300 scenic acres in the Texas Hill Country, announces its new name - Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas. The name reflects the updated resort experience with the debut of standalone luxury villas. The villas offer exclusive, upscale accommodations paired with enhanced amenities for guests.

"We are thrilled to introduce Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas, a name that reflects both our rich Texas heritage and an exciting new era delivering unmatched service for our guests," said Steve J. Smith, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas. "The villas offer an elevated resort experience that combines luxury with the comforts of home to provide a world-class getaway highlighting our gorgeous location."

The newly-introduced villas are named after historic Texas rivers - Guadalupe, Nueces, Brazos, San Saba, and Pecos. Each 2,336-square-foot ranch-style villa features four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, spacious living and dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and two private patios with a firepit, grill and comfortable seating.

When guests book a villa, they receive direct access to the Windflower Spa's premier amenities. Throughout their visit, villa guests can enjoy the spa's tranquil, lagoon-style pool, which is heated year-round, as well as an outdoor relaxation area complete with a serene koi pond, comfortable lounge chairs, and daybed swings. Guests can also visit the indoor amenities including a whirlpool, eucalyptus steam room and sauna.

Villa guests also receive access to a dedicated villa host who is available to ensure every detail of their stay is enjoyable and seamless. The host is available to help make spa and dinner reservations, as well as golf tee times. They can also arrange delivery of amenities directly to the guests as requested and make activity recommendations based on the guest's specific preferences.

Separate from the villas and spa, travelers can enjoy the resort's five-acre water park which features heated pool options and whirlpools year-round. The resort also provides championship golf at its 27-hole Hill Country Golf Club, and delicious Texas-inspired cuisine at its several on-site restaurants.

In early 2026, the resort will also debut a 2.2-acre Crystal Lagoons® amenity, transforming it into an idyllic beach paradise located right in Central Texas. The new water feature will be accompanied by beautiful white sandy beaches, premium private cabanas, a variety of fun water sports and an additional poolside food and beverage venue.

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas also features 502 newly renovated guestrooms and suites. The updated rooms showcase an upscale, ranch-inspired aesthetic with enhanced technology and amenities.
