Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa Launches Multi-Phase Transformation

USA, Amelia Island, Florida. January 05, 2026

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa, Florida's award-winning oceanfront destination, is undergoing a sweeping renovation that reimagines nearly every corner of the property, bringing a modern perspective to the island's rich cultural and natural heritage. The full transformation is scheduled to be completed by spring 2026, with several exciting milestones set to debut as early as November 2025.

"Omni Amelia Island has long been celebrated for offering luxurious, nature-inspired experiences," said Theo Schofield, Managing Director of the property. "This renovation will further elevate our guests' journeys, infusing newly designed spaces with coastal character, locally inspired art, and a refined sense of place."

A Fresh Chapter Begins This FallThis fall, guests will experience the first wave of the resort's transformation, which includes:

- Food & Beverage Upgrades & Additions: Recently renovated, FloraBelle now welcomes guests with a fresh new look and elevated dining experience. In addition, resort guests will soon enjoy new culinary delights at the following restaurants, with each space showcasing a playful yet refined take on Southern hospitality.

- Palmetto Press Coffee & Provisions: Opening in early November, this new, casual café concept will bring fresh brews and light bites to fuel island adventures.

- Surfcaster: Formerly known as Oceanside, this beloved poolside eatery will reopen in early November with a bold new identity.

- Nonna Mia: Reopening in early December, the new Nonna Mia, previously known as Verandah, will offer an elevated dining experience with a nostalgic nod to Italian coastal cuisine.

- Chera Brooker Murals: As part of the artistic vision of the renovation, guests will encounter acclaimed artist Chera Brooker's hand-painted murals throughout the resort. From exterior walls near Surfcaster to column murals throughout Nonna Mia, each piece offers a modern interpretation of Amelia Island's natural and cultural history.

- Oak Marsh Golf Course Restoration: Originally designed by Pete Dye and newly renovated by Beau Welling Design, Oak Marsh Golf Course has been beautifully restored. Players can enjoy improved playability, upgraded turf and drainage, and the return of classic Dye features like strategic bunkers and winding marsh views.

- Lobby & Lobby Lounge: Guests will be greeted with a warm, coastal-modern welcome starting mid December 2025, with interiors reflecting the island's palette of earthy reds, golds, greens, and ocean blues.

- The Spa at Omni Amelia Island Resort: Reopening in early January, the completely reimagined spa will feature a new courtyard, relaxation room, upgraded locker rooms, and private nooks for unwinding. The spa renovation blends Lowcountry zen with luxurious comfort, adding warm earth tones, natural materials, and curated textures to set the scene for this peaceful escape.

More to Come

As the resort's transformation continues into 2026, guests can look forward to even more elevated experiences:

- All Guest Rooms & Suites: Set to be completed by spring 2026, the refreshed oceanfront guest rooms will feature natural woven textures, layered patterns, and a coastal-inspired palette of sun-washed hues. Designed to blur the line between indoors and out, these modern yet relaxed spaces offer a true sense of place.

- Conference Center: Also completed by spring 2026, the conference center, including three ballrooms, breakout meeting rooms and restrooms, is being fully renovated with elegant lighting and coastal-inspired details, creating versatile spaces ideal for conferences, corporate events, and large gatherings.

"We wanted guests to feel an immediate connection to the island from the moment they arrive at the resort," said Tonya Grine, Senior Director of Interior Design. "Inspired by Amelia Island's rich heritage, nature and its sweeping Spanish oaks, our vision was to design spaces that feel both elevated and familiar, where Lowcountry charm, coastal beauty and a shared spirit of connection all meet under the canopy of Spanish oaks."
