General Manager Juan Gonzalez Izquierdo Tapped to Lead Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal
Hilton announces the appointment of Juan Gonzalez Izquierdo as general manager of the award-winning Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. With a career spanning two decades of luxury hospitality experience, Izquierdo aims to leverage his unique and extensive expertise to build upon the resort's legacy and guide Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal forward following the recent multi-year property-wide transformation.

Most recently, Izquierdo was the general manager of Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead, where he achieved the No. 1 spot for guest satisfaction in North America, as well as a Forbes Four-Star rating, for three consecutive years. He successfully oversaw the comprehensive renovation of public and private spaces and was instrumental in elevating the property's market positioning. Previously, as hotel manager at Conrad New York Downtown, Izquierdo helped his team achieve the top guest satisfaction ranking among luxury properties in North America, earn their first Connie Award, and receive Forbes Four-Star recognition. Izquierdo also held leadership roles as director of operations at luxury properties in New York, Barcelona, and London. He began his career as a busboy in London and has since remained in the luxury hospitality industry, driven by his passion for the field.
Izquierdo holds a bachelor's degree in hospitality management from Endicott College in Massachusetts and a diploma in hotel management from Les Roches Swiss Hotel Management School in Marbella, Spain.
Born and raised in Malaga, Spain, and fluent in Spanish and English, Izquierdo is a passionate Real Madrid fan and enjoys playing soccer and pickleball with friends, his four children, and his wife. An advocate for professional growth, he considers his greatest achievement the success of the team members he has mentored and seen promoted.
