Ritz-Cartlon Westchester Appoints Director Catering Sales

OCTOBER 26, 2007. The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, scheduled to open in mid-November, has appointed Barbara Thibault of Bronxville as Director of Catering Sales. Ms. Thibault has enjoyed more than 20 years in the hotel catering industry, and will be responsible for sales of special events, both social and corporate.

Prior to joining the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, she was the Director of Catering at The Roosevelt Hotel in New York City for the past two years. Before that, she spent six years as the Assistant Director of Catering at the New York Palace Hotel in Manhattan. Throughout her career, she has worked in catering for many distinguished hotels including the Waldorf Astoria hotel and Le Parker Meridien, both in midtown Manhattan. In addition, she opened the Abigail Kirsch location at The New York Botanical Garden in The Bronx.

Ms. Thibault was also the former co-owner of the renowned French restaurant Rene Pujol in New York City. In addition, she has served as a freelance caterer for many special events in the Hamptons and Bucks County, PA.

She is a member of many industry organizations including the Escoffier Society, the James Beard House in New York City, and the Food & Beverage Association of America.

The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester hotel, featuring 122 luxury rooms and suites, will set a new standard for hotels in the market. The hotel will also offer 9,000 square feet of meeting and special event space, including a 500-person ballroom and a BLT Steak restaurant, one of Manhattan's hottest restaurants fronting Main Street.
