Nevada Magazine Offers Special Price on 2008 Calendar
During Nevada Day Parade
CARSON CITY, NV, Ocotober 25, 2007. Nevada Magazine will sell its 2008 Nevada Historical Calendar at a special low price during the Nevada Day Parade from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the magazine's office, Editor Matt Brown announced today.
The calendars will be available in the lobby of the Paul Laxalt State Building, headquarters of the Nevada Commission on Tourism and Nevada Magazine, at 401 North Carson St., Carson City. The building is next door to the Carson Nugget Casino in the heart of downtown. During the parade, the calendars will sell for $8, or two for $12 and three for $15. Calendars normally sell for $11.99 apiece in stores.
"Each page of the calendar offers a treasured historical photograph from our state's dynamic past, and they revive the Nevada spirit month after month, all year long," Brown said. "Historical calendars make great Christmas gifts for nearly everyone on your list, and the sale price makes it inviting to shop now."
In addition to the calendars, the November-December issue of Nevada Magazine will be available. This latest issue includes a feature on gifts made in the Silver State and a roundup of places to hunt gems in Northern Nevada. The sale also will include other Nevada merchandise and a few surprises, Brown said.
Shoppers who are unable to attend the sale can order calendars by phone or purchase them Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the reception desk in the lobby at the regular price of $11.99 plus $3 for shipping, if required.
