Extended Stay Announces General Counsel

OCTOBER 22, 2007. Extended Stay Hotels, the leading owner and operator of extended-stay lodging hotels, today announced that it has appointed Kevin L. McDougall as General Counsel and Executive Vice President.

In addition to directing the legal department of Extended Stay Hotels, McDougall will also advise senior management on key strategic initiatives and objectives as a member of the executive team.

Prior to joining Extended Stay Hotels, McDougall was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for BI-LO LLC and Bruno's Supermarkets, Inc., in Greenville, S.C., where he supervised all legal issues for the two food retailers, which employed a workforce of more than 30,000 employees. He also served as Vice President and General Counsel for Bell & Howell, a manufacturing and technology company in Durham, N.C., where he managed all domestic and international legal matters.
