Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. Provides Update of Hurricane Damage

. October 14, 2008

BILOXI, Mississippi, August 31, 2005. Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. officials announced today the following update on the effects of Hurricane Katrina:

The company has not been able to estimate the extent of damage to the Isle-Biloxi or to the new casino barge under construction there. However, it appears that these properties have suffered extensive damage. Isle of Capri has business interruption and property insurance covering the company's operations and assets.

Isle of Capri is also in the process of assessing damage to its corporate offices in Biloxi, and is unable to determine at this time when those offices will re-open. In the interim corporate operations are being conducted from the Isle-Bossier City, La., as well as the company's corporate office in Boca Raton, Fla.

The Isle-Natchez and Isle-Vicksburg, both in Mississippi, were also closed on Sunday, August 28, 2005 as a result of the hurricane and suffered no significant damage. The Isle-Natchez re-opened for business on August 30, and the Isle-Vicksburg expects to open when power to that property is restored.

"It is too soon to tell all the effects on our Biloxi properties. Our focus right now is making sure that all of our employees and their families are safe. We have been a part of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over 13 years, so our thoughts remain with all of our friends and family impacted by this storm," said President and Chief Operating Officer Tim Hinkley.

The company is requesting that any Isle-Biloxi employee or Isle corporate employee please contact 1-800-843-4753.
