Corbett Holt Properties, Inc. in a partnership with investment group Taylor Clark, Inc., opened downtown Kirkland's first independent, full-service luxury hotel in a ceremony on October 2. The Heathman Hotel Kirkland is located at 220 Kirkland Ave. two blocks from Moss Bay, on the eastern shore of Lake Washington. Trellis, Farm to Table Cuisine

The 90-seat restaurant and bar, Trellis, features farm to table cuisine under the direction of executive chef Brian Scheehser. Trellis features food and drink that celebrates small scale, artisan products at the height of their seasonal quality. Trellis offers a farm-fresh, robust menu that characterizes wine country restaurants and evolves with the seasons, always using the best of the current harvest as a foundation for its farm to table philosophy. Dishes are created with what is fresh and at seasonal peak on Scheehser's local three-acre garden at the South 47 farm. A wine list with more than 200 selections features the best that Washington, Oregon and California vintners have to offer, and signature house cocktails are created using fresh ingredients from Scheehser's garden.
