Urban Beach Completes Major Refurbishment

. October 14, 2008

SEPTEMBER 27, 2007. This Spring saw the opening of Bournemouth's first boutique hotel - The Urban Beach - in the beautiful Victorian resort of Boscombe. Just five minutes from the seafront, The Urban Beach is a cosy hideaway with spacious rooms, huge sumptuous beds, luxury bathrooms, snug sofas, and not a hint of chintz.

And this Winter, the hotel completes it's major refurbishment programme with the opening of a new bar and restaurant on the ground floor. The chic bar is being designed by a local artist on a surf theme and will be the epitome of modern design. Chairs will have funky parrot covers and the walls will be textured in beach colours.

The new restaurant, which will have 150 covers - 60 inside and 90 outside on the heated terrace - will serve an eclectic new world mix of food, from modern British to Asian and South American dishes.

In the hotel each room has been individually designed with walnut or oak furniture, the ultimate in mood lighting and extra touches of world luxury, such as Egyptian cushions, oriental headboards and one-off artworks.

Journalists visits are being planned from 1 November 2007. For more information please contact Deborah Tilley on 07719 342020 or go to www.urbanbeachhotel.co.uk/press
