PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico, August 28, 2007. Luis Rodr'iguez has been named General Manager of Casa Velas Hotel Boutique, the only AAA Four-Diamond adults-only all-inclusive golf resort in Mexico. Rodr'iguez brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his new position at Casa Velas, a member of The Leading Small Hotels of the World. As General Manager he oversees day-to-day hotel operations, marketing and sales and food and beverage.
Prior to joining Casa Velas, Rodr'iguez was Resident Manager of the five-star sister hotel Grand Velas All Suites and Spa Resort in Nuevo Vallarta. As Resident Manager of Grand Velas, Rodr'iguez successfully organized an operations and administrations team for the hotel opening and maintained operations post-opening. Rodr'iguez sites his highest achievement as helping Grand Velas attain the AAA Five Diamond status and becoming a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. Previously, he was Assistant Executive Manager of the Holiday Inn in Puerto Vallarta and the Hotel Plaza las Glorias in Puerto Pe~nasco. He has also worked in many areas of hospitality such as room division, food and beverage, and sales.
