NTA Annual Convention

Marc Mancini to Present Special Travel Agent Seminar

. October 14, 2008

LEXINGTON, KY, August 13, 2007. Dr. Marc Mancini of Marc Mancini Seminars and Consulting will present a special seminar session for travel agents at the 2007 National Tour Association Annual Convention in Kansas City, Missouri, Nov. 2-6. The session is part of a one-day program on Friday for travel agents and other professional travel buyers.

"Everything You Wanted to Know about Selling Tours" is designed to help travel agents and other buyers understand how to work with tour operators for bigger profits.

"Tour operators sell the great majority of their products through travel agents, bank travel planners and other professional buyers," said Mancini. "Yet these travel buyers receive little training on working with tour operators and how to best sell tour packages. The NTA Annual Convention presents a prime opportunity for connecting agents and tour operators and show how both can benefit from such a partnership."

Marc Mancini is one of the travel industry's best-known speakers, educators and consultants. He has assisted NTA with many projects over the years, including work with the association's Certified Tour Professional program.

"Part of NTA's goal in creating the special program at the Convention for professional buyers was to connect them with quality tour operators and showing them new ways to increase their bottom line," said NTA Chairman and CEO Randy Julian. "This session by Marc Mancini will clearly show them how to make these connections and put words into action."

Registration for the 2007 NTA Annual Convention is currently open, and more information on the Buyer-to-Buyer Exchange and other activities for travel agents is available by calling NTA Headquarters at 800.682.8886 (U.S. and Canada) or 859.226.4444 or by e-mailing [email protected].
