. October 14, 2008

NEW ORLEANS, LA, July 26, 2005. Marriott International, Inc.announced today the opening of the Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center. Just steps away from the Morial Convention Center, the 331- room property is located in the heart of New Orleans' Arts/Warehouse District and will operate as a Marriott managed hotel owned by High Cotton Ventures, LLC.

"We have combined the history and hospitality of New Orleans with Marriott's legendary service to create a memorable guest experience," said Joe Blanchek, general manager, Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center. "The hotel's architectural features provide a glimpse into the past, while its wireless technology and other advancements remind guests that this is a state- of-the-art property. This perfect blend of old and new is underscored by the tradition of service that has made Marriott a leader in the lodging industry," he said.

With a restoration cost of more than $60 million, the property has been designed with the personal look and feel one would find in a boutique style hotel. The design and function of the front desk, lobby and public spaces invite guests to relax, network and conduct business depending on their needs.

Featuring 24,000 square feet of meeting space, specialized prefunction areas and personalized meeting services, the hotel is a perfect fit for in- house meetings up to 450 attendees. Event services include personal event managers who assist planners from the initial planning stages of the event, all the way through to the departure of the last attendee. Additionally, an executive meeting concierge services the day-to-day execution of the meeting, taking care of any requests the planner may have such as business center solutions, technology requests, tour arrangements and much more.

For dining and entertaining, the hotel is home to Starbucks and the hottest new celebrity chef restaurant in town, Wolfe's in the Warehouse. The menu features renowned Chef Tom Wolfe's take on contemporary New Orleans cuisine, using the foundation of New Orleans as a true melting pot to create a twist of contemporary Creole cuisine influenced by different nationalities. Wolfe's in the Warehouse will provide a fine dining experience and exemplary service in a casual, low-key ambiance.

The location in the heart of the Warehouse District provides guests with a different look into New Orleans. Steps away from art galleries, museums and hip, new restaurants, the Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center is the crown jewel of the Warehouse District. It is blocks away from the storied St. Charles Streetcar line and easily accessible to the Riverfront Streetcar that travels to and from the French Quarter.
