CHE Hotel Group Changes Name
JULY 10, 2007. Branded hotel operator, CHE Hotel Group has confirmed that it has changed its name to The Real Hotel Company PLC.
The change of name reflects the Company's strategy of focusing on the no frills, premium limited service and full service hotel markets and follows the Company's negotiated exit from the unprofitable European Master Franchise Agreement in 2006.
Speaking at the Anual General Meeting, Chief Executive Michael Prager commented: "In the first five months of this year we have started to see the first signs of improvement in performance as the refurbishment work of the last eighteen months and the new management team in situ generates results; this has included a 6.6% improvement in revenue per available room and a 13.2% improvement in EBIT from the UK hotel estate."
