NBTC Appoints New Staff to Its Business to Business Area
NEW YORK, NY, June 7, 2007. The Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC) has appointed Ms. Antonia Koedijk as Director, Business Development, Convention Market and Ms. Karlijn Oudijk as the Regional Sales Manager East Coast. Both new staff members are based in New York City.
Director, Business Development Convention Market
Antonia (Tonnie) Koedijk brings almost 20 years of business development, marketing and operations experience in the conference and leisure market to NBTC. She started her career in the hospitality industry in the Netherlands. In the late eighties she landed at the Netherlands Board of Tourism in Chicago, followed by assignments as Travel Trade Manager at NBT in New York, and Manager of the Amsterdam NBT office, promoting the city of Amsterdam worldwide.
As Manager Hotel Reservations at Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre, Koedijk became further involved with the Conference market, negotiating and developing accommodation arrangements for thousands of delegates and sponsors at the World Congress of Cardiology, the International Broadcasting Conference and other international conferences in Amsterdam.
Prior to moving to San Francisco, where she held an Operations Manager position with High Country Passage, an educational tour operator specializing in custom-designed worldwide programs for nonprofit organizations, she assisted several National Government Tourism Offices with development of their business in conference and meeting markets.
Regional Sales Manager East Coast
Karlijn Oudijk joined the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions in April of this year. Oudijk is responsible for NBTC's East Coast sales network, specifically on the Meetings & Incentives Market.
Oudijk worked as an Event Planner for NL Element in the Netherlands, responsible for all event planning for a variety of clients of NL Element. Oudijk also has a strong background in sales. Prior to her position at NL Element, she worked for Eli Lilly Nederland b.v., held the position of Project Manager at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and was Account Manager at Tele2 - Versatel, all based in the Netherlands.
Born and educated in the Netherlands, Oudijk is a graduate of the International Hospitality Management School Leeuwarden and specialized in Convention & Events Management.
