Benchmark Appoints Spa Director
Springs Eternal Spa at Bedford Springs Resort,
HOUSTON, TX, June 12, 2007. Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Veronique Paquet as spa director for the Springs Eternal Spa at Bedford Springs Resort, the landmark property dating to 1796, which is scheduled to reopen this month. Rikki Boparai, general manager for Benchmark Hospitality at the resort, made the announcement.

Veronique Paquet was previously the spa director at Sundara Inn & Spa at Wisconsin Dells. Under her leadership the property unveiled the first spa residential community in the Midwest. During her tenure there the property was rated by Travel & Leisure magazine as the #3 spa in the nation, receiving extended notice on ABC's Good Morning America.
Ms. Paquet has also worked for Noble House Hotels & Resorts, serving as spa director at the Inn & Spa at Loretto in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Little Palm Island Resort & Spa in Little Torch Key, Florida. Additionally, she served as guest recreation & activities director at Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, California.
Earlier in her career, Paquet worked in communications and media relations. She began her professional life working for the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, Colorado.
Veronique Paquet is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's degree in world history and political science. She is fluent in English and French. Ms. Paquet has relocated to Bedford, Pennsylvania.
The historic Bedford Springs Resort, which dates to 1796, is undergoing a comprehensive renovation and expansion program to create a 216-guestroom Four Star-quality destination resort. The property is scheduled to reopen in June 2007. The property is owned by Bedford Resort Partners, Ltd. Benchmark Hospitality International operates the resort.
