Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Appoints Carlos Blanco Resident Manager of Caneel Bay

DALLAS, TX, September 16, 2005. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, is pleased to announce the appointment of Carlos Blanco as Resident Manager of Caneel Bay, A Rosewood Resort. In this seminal year for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and Caneel Bay, as they celebrate their 25th and 50th anniversaries respectively, the resort continues to build a talented team devoted to creating a unique guest experience at this legendary Caribbean property.

A seasoned member of the Rosewood family, Carlos has held management positions at Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort, and Las Ventanas al Para'iso, A Rosewood Resort, both of which are known for their five-star accommodations and unparalleled guest services. During his seven years at Las Ventanas al Para'iso, Carlos played an integral role in the one-of-a-kind training program, "Windows to Excellence." The

program's fundamental goal is to impart a sense of belonging to something important, a sense of pride and loyalty in the resort and team. The skills and dedication to excellence Carlos developed through this program will be an asset to Caneel Bay.

Prior to joining the Rosewood team, Carlos worked for the four-star Costa Sol Hotel in Veracruz, Mexico, where he implemented programs that increased the hotel's revenue, occupancy levels and average rate by more than 10% in just one year. Known in the industry for his achievements on property, Carlos was named the Second Best Manager of the Year in 1997 and Best Manager of the Month for three consecutive months at Las Ventanas al Para'iso.

In his new position, Carlos will work with Managing Director Rik Blyth and the management team, to oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort to continue the level of impeccable service that has made Caneel Bay one of the best resorts in the Caribbean.
