HPL Apppoints VPO
SINGAPORE, February 26, 2008. HPL Hotels & Resorts today announced the appointment of hospitality veteran Gregory J Lee as its new Vice President of Operations to be based at its corporate office in Singapore.
Gregory, an Australian citizen brings with him more than 26 years of industry experience backed by a distinguished career that spans over various countries, including Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Malaysia and Thailand.
Prior to joining HPL Hotels & Resorts, Gregory held various hotel management positions, including pre-opening General Manager for Christchurch Parkroyal in New Zealand, Twin Towers Travelodge in Bangkok, Thailand, and Prince Hotel and Residence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Area General Manager for the Southern Pacific Hotel Corporation (SPHC/Bass Hotels) group. Throughout his career, Gregory also gained recognition for his outstanding work, with awards such as "General Manager of the Year", "Hotel of the Year", and other Excellence awards.
At HPL Hotels & Resorts, Gregory will oversee hotel operational responsibilities for the company's current portfolio of 10 properties located in the Asia Pacific Region. These include Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Concorde Hotel Shah Alam, Concorde Inn Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Hard Rock Hotel Bali, Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, Casa del Mar - Langkawi, The Lakehouse - Cameron Highlands and Rihiveli Beach Resort - Maldives. Another two new properties are scheduled to open soon: Kandooma - Maldives in mid 2008 and Hard Rock Hotel Penang in early 2009.
