HotSpot International Takes Control of Broadband Hotels in Latin America
THE INTERNET, September 22 2005. Eleven Wireless announced that HotSpot International (HSI) has licensed ElevenOS. The on-demand software solution from Eleven will help HSI better manage its guest broadband networks in hotels.
After intensive evaluation and testing, HSI decided to change its infrastructure to ElevenOS. "ElevenOS gives us the control, flexibility and features that were not offered by our previous software vendor," said HotSpot International CEO Louie Miller. "Features such as bill-to-room through the PMS system regardless of user location in the hotel, group codes and meeting scheduling, along with multi-level access for reports and administration provide the ability to tailor the solution for the requirements of hotel chains or individual locations." He added, "Hoteliers expect to be able to offer high-quality broadband services to their guests, and the unique abilities of ElevenOS make this possible."
HSI's transition to ElevenOS for all their current locations is nearly complete, and Eleven's software will be the standard for all future locations.
"We are pleased to have HSI as part of our partner base and share their perspective on the importance of providing robust, flexible solutions for hotels," says Eleven Wireless CEO Kevin Macgillivray. "The hospitality industry has a unique and critical set of needs in managing guest broadband networks. Our focus in this segment has yielded a solid understanding of those needs, and a product that addresses them." he said.
According to Miller, the upgrade by HSI to ElevenOS has been warmly welcomed. "The property managers and IT staff need control and hospitality-oriented features in order to meet guests' expectations for Internet access," he said. "ElevenOS addresses this in a way that other systems in the market cannot. Specifically, the PMS bill-to-room functionality and the meeting scheduler have helped properties increase value to our business customers by offering more payment options and simplifying access for multiple users with a single code.
